QUICK NOTE!: this event is on in the same space directly after Clare Pollard’s ‘Ovid’s Heroides’. It sounds great. I’d go to that first, get a drink in between! Here’s the blurb:Clare Pollard’s new free verse translation rediscovers Ovid’s Heroines for the 21st Century, bringing to life a cast of women who are brave, bitchy, sexy, horrifying, heartbreaking and surprisingly modern. Here Clare reads, recites and performs her poems as love letters fly back and forth between the ancient world and modern Britain.

  1. Dear Hollie is there any possibility that you could squeeze a gig in at Colchester. My daughter who is 14,and would like to become a writer, and myself love your poems. We would both love to come and listen to you so a gig near to Colchester would be absolutely fantastic. Many thanks,Louise and Rosie.

    • Hi Louise and Rosie,

Thank you so much for your comments and I’m so happy you both like my poetry! Sorry for the long time, I didn’t realise I had comments on the website – it’s a new site! I would love to come to colchester, the only thing is it’s mainly down to them to book me! I will try though and hopefully will be able to get something in that area! If you send an email to the arts centre that’s be great. Then I can approach them for the Autumn time!

Thanks so much for emailing xx

  2. I have a problem with your work.
When are you going to come near Manchester?
There glad that is off my chest.
I love “Touch” makes me rethink my marriage and how it could be improved.
Keep up your awesome work, the only access I have to yours words is YouTube, now that’s a shame.

  3. Hi Hollie,

How are you doing? I hope you’re doing well…
Im a big fan of your great work…i love your words.
Im Boubacar from Mali to be precise from Timbuktu…and when i was in high school i use to do some poem burt in my local language called Tamasheq its the language of the touareg people.
continue the good job…and sorry for my english its not very good.

    regards
    Buba

  4. Hi Hollie, do you know when you’ll confirm more details for your Sheffield dates? I would love to come see you live and think Sheffield is the closest your coming to Manchester this year? Fran

  5. http://www.sherryglaser.net/bnb.html
Dear Hollie. I heard your mama breastfeeding rap today. You made me cry with the beauty and strength of your words.
As my wife an partner says. “Free your mind and the Breasts will follow”
If you go to the link above you’ll see our topfreedom work. BTW I nursed both of my daughters for three years each. Naturally. Bless you girl, blessings on your baby. Cheers!

  6. * A sitemap to navigate your website is helpful for visitors to access main pages.
These pre-computed numbers, hold on in a very giant information bank for millions or
URLs on the net. * Page SEO: Your page is optimized by various means which include, choosing the right keywords, placing them
right, adding anchor text linking, adding call to action in various places
    on the page.

  7. Your work “Breast” reminded me of a little thing I wrote in grad school. Thought you’d appreciate it.

    Lost Cleavage

    usurped by fruit roll-ups pizza
    macaroni and cheese sliced pears
life force of my bosom disappears
    began when placenta cravings soaked
his tender fetus in nutrition granting strength
to kick me hard from the inside even when I wasn’t
asking him to pick up his toys round and round uterus
scenarios nothings changed fell in love with this kid
as his gummed jaws latched on swollen and fatigued tit
the right the left right left again he harnessed in
the life giving sustenance my pain kept him alive
sucking and slurping warm honey cream the
right the left every three dark hours I bore
abused cracked coconut oiled and sore
once taut skin abandoned for cookie
    dough ice cream edamame cheerios

  8. Today I discovered your work, and have cried, laughed and sat transfixed as I watched you on youtube. You’re a remarkable young woman, Hollie. Please come to New Zealand!!

  9. Hi Hollie – are you coming to Edinburgh Festival this year? I hope so, was gutted to miss you when you were here last, my daughter was in between bringing with me age and leaving at home age! I know the ridiculous cost of accommodation is an issue for a lot of performers and we have a spare room for no charge at our place near the centre if you ever needed one!
