I’m looking for remix of poem Mathematics that I wrote last year and recorded this year at Abbey Road Studios.
After nearly a year I have almost, finally, just about, finished my album.
15 poems by themselves, then scored by an amazing orchestra and also mixed by a number of brilliant, different producers. Some to dance to, some to sit and chill to, some to possibly skip over! (There’s a big mix, so sure there’ll be a bit of marmite in there!)
In October. I will be touring the poems from the album in Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Brighton, Bath, London and Birmingham.
The deadline for the final mixes is 5 days away.
I was told to leave Mathematics alone as a poem by itself, but think it really should be in the remix album too. So, the thing is this:
THERE ARE FOUR DAYS LEFT FOR ME TO FIND A REMIX AND SEND IT TO THE MASTERER.
I was gonna ask one of the producers already on the album, but think this is more fun. May not work but hey!
So…If anyone has time (I know this is quick, stupidly so) and fancies remixing it in whatever type of music / song / play you wish, whether that’s acoustic guitar accompaniment, flamenco, jazz, house, whatever and get me a version to hear as soon as you can before Thursday, I will be sitting with the other producers listening to them and hopefully select one to go on the album, released this year.
PLEASE: SEND ME A DOWNLOAD LINK, DON’T PUT IT IN THE EMAIL, I WON’T BE ABLE TO OPEN IT!
You can cut the poem up or leave it as it is, mix my voice, make me sound like a mouse or a dinosaur or whatever, whatever brings out the right message, keeps the idea of the poem and makes it exciting for people to stick in their headphones. There’s only space for one remix though.
It’s a freebie now but not in terms of sales if any nice people buy the album when it’s out then you will be getting the equal cut all the other producers are getting.
Despite the boredom of sitting listening to my voice for the last 3 hours in different versions of poetry, I am really really excited about the album.
